COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT FOR HIRING ME OUTSIDE OF MY WEB STORE
Copyright Ownership Agreement
This Agreement is made on DATE, by CLIENT NAME and Blacklit Paradises (hereinafter referred to as the "Business") and CLIENT NAME (hereinafter referred to as the "Client").
WHEREAS, the Business is engaged in video editing, graphic design, motion graphics and anything else the Business is obliged to do. The Client has engaged the Business to create PRODUCT (hereinafter referred to as the "Work");
WHEREAS, the Business asserts that it holds all legal rights, including copyright, to the Work created for the Client until such time as the Client has fully paid for the Work;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows:
1. Ownership of Copyright:
- The Business retains full ownership and all legal rights, including but not limited to, all copyrights in and to the Work until such time as the Client has made full payment for the Work.
- The Client acknowledges that they do not acquire any rights, including copyrights, to the Work until full payment is received by the Business.
2. Transfer of Rights:
- Upon full payment by the Client, the Business agrees to transfer all rights, including copyrights, in and to the Work to the Client.
- The Business will provide any necessary documents to effectuate the transfer of rights to the Client.
3. Payment Terms:
- The total fee for the Work is PRICE.
- Half of the total fee will be deposited before the Business has started the work.
- The price may change due to extra tasks in the process or more time was required. This cannot be changed and as part of this agreement, you are agreeing to any price changes.
- Before you pay the final half of the total fee, I will send out a highly watermarked version of the video or graphics to confirm the client is happy with the final product. I have all copyright permissions over the watermarked video.
- Payment is due in full by PAYMENT DUE DATE.
4. Use of the Work:
- The Client shall not use, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the Work until full payment has been made and the copyright has been transferred.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement as of the date written above.

- The price may change due to extra tasks in the process or more time was required. This cannot be changed and as part of this agreement, you are agreeing to any price changes.
- Before you pay the final half of the total fee, I will send out a highly watermarked version of the video or graphics to confirm the client is happy with the final product. I have all copyright permissions over the watermarked video.
- The final fee will be sent via Email with a invoice attached breaking down all costs. You have 48 hours to respond to this Email.
4. Use of the Work:
- The Client shall not use, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the Work until full payment has been made and the copyright has been transferred.
